Dr. Abdulaziz Boker is an Associate Professor and Consultant, Department of Anesthesia and ICU and the Director of Clinical Skills & Simulation Center at the College of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH). Also, he is the current Chairman of the Saudi Scientific Board of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at SCFHS and Founding Chairman of Medical Education Unit at KAU.
He obtained his medical college degree from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah with an excellent grade and honor degree. He then get the Royal college of Canada certification and masters of medical education. Among his various responsibilities, he is Chairman, Examination Committee, Scientific Board of Anesthesia & Critical Care, Arab Board and Director, Experimental Surgical Unit, King Fahad Research Center, King Abdulaziz University, among many others. He is also a member, International Advisory Group of the SESAM Journal Advances in Simulation. He has extensive experience in simulation education, simulation administration and curriculum development.
Dr. Boker has active involvement in medical education at local, regional, national, and international levels. He is the first recipient of “International Residency Educator of the Year (2014) Award” from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
