The Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM) was founded 1994 in Copenhagen to encourage and support the use of simulation in health care for the purpose of training and research.
SESAM has members from more than 35 countries and serves as an international network for simulation in healthcare committed to enhance patient safety, healthcare quality, research and education.
SESAM organizes an annual European scientific conference and supports regional and local initiatives.
Additionally, SESAM provides a broad spectrum of special interest groups, expert workshops and SESAM sponsored working meetings.
