Simulation training is like a rehearsal before a real-life event. Anybody from a doctor to a paramedic or a flight attendant can benefit from simulation training in a safe setting, allowing for clinical errors without harming human life.
With an aim to create greater awareness of the role of simulation in patient safety, Dubai Healthcare City organized in 2014 its inaugural UAE Clinical Simulation Conference endorsed by the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM).
In 2015, we organised the 2nd UAE Clinical Conference in collaboration with SESAM, which was the 1st MENA Conference for the international body.
Since our first Conference, we have connected more than 400 industry experts, academicians and healthcare professionals representing close to 25 countries. The conference agendas have helped advance simulation in healthcare and demonstrated through cases studies the link between simulation-based medical education and better evaluation and treatment techniques.
To build on our record, we are looking forward to your participation at our 3rd UAE Clinical Simulation Conference 2016, which is being organized in collaboration with SESAM and will mark the 2nd SESAM MENA Conference.
It will be held from 23-25 February 2016 at the Mohammed bin Rashid Academic Medical Center (MBR-AMC) in Dubai Healthcare City. The MBR-AMC is home to the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Medical Simulation Center, the first comprehensive simulation training facility of its kind in the region.
The theme of the 2016 Conference is “Connecting Minds: Educating the Future.” As with previous editions, renowned international speakers and experts will be present. The Conference will host relevant topics in clinical simulation, gaming and virtual environments, and prove to be an engaging event for constructive industry dialogue.
We are excited to also launch for the 3rd UAE Clinical Simulation Conference our first competition titled “Sim Time Demo”, recognizing the most creative and innovative simulation models and applications.
The Conference reflects Dubai Healthcare City’s focus on medical education. It reaffirms our approach to collaborate with strategic international healthcare players and institutions. And above all, it strengthens our goal to increase capacity in healthcare in the UAE and the region.
With your participation, we will identify and address knowledge gaps in clinical simulation.
We look forward to welcoming you.
